Maren Morris just scored her first No. 1 hit ever at country radio with the nostalgic ballad “I Could Use a Love Song.” She got the good news just a few days before before she made her way down to a party Sunday night, Jan. 14, for the opening of Dierks Bentley’s new Nashville honky tonk, Whiskey Row, on Lower Broadway. Country superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been named as defendants in a federal copyright infringement lawsuit which claims their most recent hit single, “The Rest of Our Life,” ripped off another song from a pair of Australian songwriters.

Carrie Underwood fans are in a rage over accusations from an outspoken talk show host

Talk show host Wendy Williams is in hot water with Carrie Underwood fans after she made some reckless and unfounded allegations about the country star on her show on Jan. 8.

During the segment called “Hot Topics,” Wendy recapped Carrie’s recent fan club blog post in which she opened up about sustaining a facial injury during a fall at her home last November. The injury required 40 to 50 stitches, and Carrie told her fans she wasn’t sure if she would look the same as a result.

Loretta Lynn suffers another serious injury in fall

The 85-year-old country legend fell last week and broke her hip, according to a Jan. 8 Twitter post from her sister, Crystal Gayle. She asks everyone to send love and prayers to Loretta at this time.

President Trump reached out to the team with an invitation to the White House to receive an honor for their World Series win.
